That’s me!

I’m a final year Animation student specialising in production management.

I grew up in vibrant Edinburgh, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the creative industries. After spending many of my younger years yoyo-ing between creative and academic passions, I’ve found that working in production is the perfect hybrid that fulfils me wholeheartedly.

With a mind geared to problem prediction, I focus my efforts on foreseeing potential issues before they arise and adapting the pipeline as needed. My genuine enjoyment of problem solving means that I stay level-headed in the face of changing timelines, providing the stability for the team and enabling me to safely navigate the project in changing tides.

I believe that knowing your people is one of the absolute key elements of successful production – regardless of what level you are working at. Acquainting myself with each team member’s strengths, interests, and personal goals allows me to draw the best out of each worker, boosting production and maintaining high morale even when things go wrong. A strong team means for a strong product.

Short term, I’m eager to work as a production assistant – I thrive on the multifaceted nature of the role, and have a lot of fun jumping between different tasks and interacting with a variety of people each day.

Long term, I want to keep my career path somewhat open until I’ve experienced a bit more of what the industry has to offer. However, currently I have my eyes set on either creative producer or development producer roles. Whatever path I end up taking, I am career-driven to a fault and feel immeasurably excited about carving a path for myself within the creative industries.
